Pressure Canning:
Using the included canning rack, you can preserve nearly any ingredient in wide-mouth canning jars. Use high-pressure canning for fruits, vegetables, sauces, meats, soup stocks, or bone broth. The low-pressure setting is perfect for jams, jellies, and pickled vegetables. Like a traditional water bath when canning over a burner but with faster results and no babysitting.
Pressure Cooking:
An easy and fast way to cook while sealing in the flavor and nutrition of food, you can pressure cook everything from rice to beans to an entire pot roast dinner. With the browning function, pack in even more flavor by caramelizing meat or aromatics before cooking. Use the steaming function to quickly cook broccoli or instant rice. The browning function is perfect for caramelizing onions before slow cooking or browning pork chops before pressure cooking.
Safety Features:
Pressure-Limiting Valve – protects against pressure inside exceeding the limit. Will release excess pressure if needed
Lid Lock Protection – Ensures the lid is fitted correctly and doesn’t allow pressure to build up if not locked
Anti-block Filter – Keeps food from blocking the exhaust valve
Float Valve Protection – Keeps pressure from increasing if the lid is not locked
Open/Close Markings – Easily identifies if the lid is locked or unlocked. The Smart Cooker won’t operate in the open position
Temperature Control – With a flexible gasket and pressure switch control, the pressure is maintained continuously
Fuse Protection – Will switch off power if the temperature exceeds the limit
Automatic Pressure Release – In the unlikely event all the other safety features fail, and the pressure exceeds the limit, it will be released automatically from an area between the gasket and inner pot.
